where can i download a driver for my one touch 7600 scanner?
ive had this scanner with my old computer but got a new one and i lost the disk. can anyone tell me where to download the driver? ive tried the manufacturers site but i don't have the proper windows. i don't want to download a different windows so where else could i download it?
no im afraid it says i needed to download windows 98 or 95 and im not doing that. like i sadi.

You don't make it very easy, derdader. First of all, you didn't state whether your Visioneer OneTouch 7600 scanner is the parallel port version or the USB version. Secondly, you haven't said which Operating System you're running.
Anyway, if your scanner is the parallel port version, there are drivers for Windows 95 (with SR2)/98/NT4.0/2000/ME. They can be downloaded from the first url below.
If your scanner is the USB port version, there are drivers available for Windows 98/ME/2000, and they can be downloaded from the second url below.
If you're running Windows XP, the third url below explains that although there are no official drivers available:
"The scanners listed below most likely, will still function properly:
* Visioneer OneTouch 7600 Parallel
* Visioneer OneTouch 7600 usb
* Visioneer strobe Pro"
The reason that manufacturers don't register for XP compatibility is that they have to pay Microsoft for the privilege of having them test the drivers.
Hopefully, you aren't running Windows Vista as I'm quite convinced that you'll be out of luck for drivers else.
