Are geovision text inserters compatible with Gilbarco Passport POS systems?
I installed a complete surveillance system at a C-store location. I didn't know, however, that the company uses Gilbarco Passport Point of Sale Systems. I built and Installed a PC-Based DVR system that uses Geovision 1120 Capture cards. For compatibilty reason I was going to use a geovision text inserter, but am unsure if they are compatible with Passport. Or if I use a text inserter from another company that is known to be compatible with the Passport will it be compatible with the Geovision DVR system.
Dear Geovision user.
While we do not sell the Geivision I can suggest the following.
If you can set the Geovision for compatibility with an IEE pole display, you should be able to connect to the pole display on the Passport.
Use a DB9 splitter cable.
Important: The end user will have to turn off the scrolling advertisements which display when the register is between transactions.
