Tips For Planning Your Kitchen Breakfast Bar
One of the best things you can add to our kitchen is a breakfast bar. They can serve several uses, all in one day. Serve breakfast on them in the mornings. At lunchtime, you can prepare snacks for the big sports event. In the evening, it can be the serving area at a party. Your guest can come up and help themselves to snacks.
Do you need a place to keep your kitchen appliances? A kitchen bar will serve that purpose. You will have counter space in the rest of the kitchen. You can keep your coffee pot, toaster, and blender, within easy reach. If you design your bar, it will be exactly what you need. This will take some planning, but it will pay off.
Plan the kitchen bar
Do you know what the main use of your kitchen bar will be? How many meals will you serve on it?
Will you use your new breakfast bar for a work area, often? You might need a large counter top space. You want to be able to fit large round cake pans on the counter. A mixing bowl and mixer should easily fit, also.
Will you serve meals on your bar, often? Modern bar stools will work well. You will need to make sure there is adequate seating space. Several people should be able to sit at the bar, comfortably.
Kitchen Islands
You can use your kitchen island as a bar. Many kitchen islands have breakfast bar capabilities. You will get many other features with your kitchen island. There will be little installation trouble. Some of them are portable.
Kitchen islands can be larger than the average breakfast bar. You should have room for your stand mixer and large square cake pans. The breakfast bar will work like a drop leaf attachment. When you need it, it will be there. When you are done with it, it can be out of the way.
Final thoughts
If you add a breakfast bar to your kitchen, you will add utility and convenience. They can be used for a number of things. Serve meals and party snacks from them. Use them as a workspace. Keep your kitchen appliances ready to use on your breakfast bar. Plan what you will use your bar for. Consider a kitchen island also. Some of them can be used as breakfast bars. In gymnastics, does the High Bar, or Horizontal Bar spin? Or is it a still bar that does not spin?
I would think it would have to spin, because they use chalk, which is used for grip, and if it was a static bar, not one that spins, that would tear your hands...I think, anyways...I was just watching the olympics and it came to mind.
it doesn't spin..if it spun, the bars would be much easier...
they use grips to help minimize the chance of getting blisters, though
