While trying to print onto pvc card using photoshop error message"image is larger than printable area" occurs?
Im using a epson r280 printer with photoshop cs5. The image DOES show up on the pvc card just not square and overlaps to left side. I think i need to just punch in some numbers to a specific area of "prefernces" to let the printer know im not A.printing on paper its on a pvc card. And B. the image is almost square to the pvc card it just needs to be aproximatly an inch or so to the left and not shrunken as much. Any help will be much apreciated,This project is due soon and i dont want to fail because i cant print out the final reslults.
You should be setting the page size parameters within the application (Photoshop) itself as well as adjusting the image size to fit within the page size parameters. Then you need to make sure to position the card in the correct location for the paper input of the printer so that it prints correctly on the media.
I'm surprised though that you're using an inkjet printer to print on PVC cards and that you're not having an issue with the ink rubbing off or not laying & drying properly on the card. Normally you have to use a dye-sublimation printer for PVC card stock.
