My newly built desktop pc does not start up at all. What may be the problems?
I recently just built my own desktop pc, and when i finally put all the pieces in place, I switch on the power supply only to hear a constant whistling noise. Nothing else seems to have power, and pressing the power button does absolutely nothing. the parts inside of the desktop are as follows:

i think those are all of the parts is pertinent to pc problems. Thank you in advance for any help. i wanna have this puppy up and running by next week at least.
ok so its not the power supply, just got that replaced thinking it was botched, but it wasnt. Also will defective ram cause the computer to be completely powerless? i always thought if you have the connections right, but the hardware defective, you should still see signs of power on your mobo. Am i wrong?
Carefully re-seat your cpu, video card, and ram. Make sure cables are correct and seated properly double check everything then rma it !
