Xerox's 8400 Printer Series - An Unequalled Value For Growing Businesses
Every office needs a printer, but not everyone thinks through their purchase of one. If you are considering a new printer, choose one that can handle your average workload while delivering the quality necessary for good office work. One model to consider is the Xerox Phaser 8400 Printer, which is reasonably priced, and uses solid Xerox Phaser 8400 replacement toner.
The Phaser 8400 is very fast and can save you time in the workspace. The first page of your document prints in less than six seconds. If you happen to be printing a larger document, the pages print as fast as 24 per minute. The PrintingScout and PhaserSMART tools can help you troubleshoot if anything needs your attention during printing. The CentreWare embedded Web server lets you control the printer from the desktop while the Usage Analysis tool lets you track its printing record.
The quality of documents is also important in printer purchasing. This printer produces high color, rich images that are particularly bright when you use its photo mode. The automatic color correction makes sure your document has an even quality to its printing, even when you have images and text on the same page.
Solid Xerox Phaser printer toner cartridges is not a term everyone knows, so here is a brief explanation. Solid ink uses silicone to create its image. A microscopic layer of heated silicone oil is transferred to the page in one pass, rather like an old fashioned print. The result is a low-waste, environment-friendly method that provides saturated color and consistent printing on a broad variety of papers.
The Phaser 8400 should last you a long time. It can handle up to 85000 pages per month, so it survives a sometimes heavy workload. It has a warranty for one year, and comes with the Total Satisfaction Guarantee.
Money-saving is part of the appeal of this particular line. It is particularly low price for its type, twice as fast as its cheaper rival while of higher quality than many more-expensive options. Printing with this machine will be a lot cheaper than using a printing company. This model can also do fast color, which uses less ink but also maintains the integrity of your images.
There are many tools the Phaser model offers that simplify printing. Some are pretty standard, such as the auto fit to page size, double-sided, booklet style, watermark, and collation options. Others are a little harder to come by, but still very useful. The cover sheet option gives you the ability to use a different paper tray for page one of your document, while the separate page option puts a blank sheet of paper between each print job so that they are easier for multiple users to separate.
This model has good hardware and software options. It comes with a 500 MHz PowerPC processor, 512 MB of memory, 20 GB of hard disk storage, and Adobe PostScript 3. It can connect to a network, and can also copy and scan. Its maximum paper size is legal, put it can be used with many different types of paper including envelopes.
Although the Phaser 8400 is no longer available new from Xerox, there are options for purchase. Consider the newer version of this printer line, the Phaser 8560, which also comes equipped with the high-quality Xerox Phaser 8400 bulk toner. You can also consider software from Xerox, which should be compatible with this printer.
