Evaluating The Excellent Waterproof LED Intova Aluminum Torch Flashlight

Initially the Waterproof LED Intova Aluminum Torch Flashlight impresses you with its sleek ergonomic design. It is smart, attractive and comfortable. You will notice how easily a hand could slip into the rubber coated wrist strap coupled to the light, and how nicely the light itself fits into your hand. It looks compact and sensible, yet the look is stylish and sturdy.

The compact size of this particular product may very well be deceiving. You may believe this to be a tiny weak torch, useful occasionally when inserting a key in a lock in the dark, or even searching for the candles when your power goes out. The Waterproof LED Intova Aluminum Torch Flashlight is much more than that, as is made evident by its sturdy case and the powerful beam it casts.

The three watt bulb throws a bright, snowy circle that puts the contenders to shame, without the presence of yellow cast or glare of one's normal everyday bulb. This eliminates the requirement for swirling the case around to overcome shadows, or to gain focus. The bright LED bulb works as well under water, in complete darkness, or on the ground to find items hidden in the grass or in the dirt. The lack of glare associated with the standard flashlight provides a clarity you can't compare. Combining the pure beam and whiteness of a pocket size LED with the effectiveness of a standard flashlight, this is all the light you can expect to need.

The Intovas anodized aluminum case makes this torch the choice of many divers and people who work underwater. The case has been rated to work up to 400 feet underwater, once more a testament to its sturdiness. There are no worries of rust or interior corrosion either!

The 3 watt bulb is a lifetime LED, which makes replacing a dead bulb a problem you are going to never need to worry about at an inconvenient moment. A lithium photo battery is needed. You will have to change these from time to time contingent on your personal use, however though these are slightly more expensive than ordinary batteries, they are often found quite reasonably on the internet these days.

Giving this dive torch as a gift could never disappoint the recipient. This is a gift to fit male or female, young or old. The uses are endless and the quality and smartness of this flashlight would be appreciated for years.

I could think of quite a few uses for this little light. The Intova Aluminum Torch Flashlight appears to give the perfect combination of features. Smart, sturdy yet practical, this product is neither too complex nor too simple to ignore.

What is the best Surefire Flashlight for the money?

I'd like to stay under $70, and have it be able to work with one of their Red Filters. That has to be one of these models: E1E, E2E, E2O, E2D, Z2, C2, C3, G2Z, G2, 6P, 9P, M2, U2, M3, 9AN, M3T, M4, M6.
Under $70 can be used as well, so I'm planning on getting it on eBay.
To toastytoastytoastytoasty:
No LED Surefire flashlights work with the Red Filters, and no LED Surefire flashlights have rechargeable batteries. Needless to say, non-rechargeables have many advantages, including longer shelf life (10 years), higher power density, higher unit voltage, lighter weight, better cold-weather performance, and superior voltage maintenance.

Does Surefire make red filters to fit the G2? The G2 and G3 are under $70 and I believe the E1 starts at $129, the super blinding M6 is $425. Also there are G2 and G3 LED versions with much better battery life. The Surefire 2xCR123 incandescent units only last 20min to an 1hr depending on the bulb.

If you plan to use your light daily rechargeable batteries save a lot of money.

Fenix makes single / double AA cell and single / double CR123 cell flashlights that can be purchased between $40-$70 and a red filter for $4.

They all use high-performance Cree or Luxeon LED emitters that last at least 50,000hrs of use. Unlike incandescent bulbs the LED's are variable in power.

For example a 2xAA Fenix LD20 9-180 lumen light will last: 71hrs/low 13hrs/med 5hrs/high 2hrs/turbo with an S.O.S. and strobe mode. These lights are all regulated so the brightness remains constant until the batteries die.

You can use a number of Ni-MH batteries, keep charging them, and theoretically run that light continuously for 5.7 years

Under extreme conditions the Surefires are definitely constructed better but for most people a good LED light (Streamlight, Olight, Jet-Beam, Nite-Core etc.) is more practical.
