barcode scanning with 2 scanners?

I scanned all my shop products with Datalogic magellan 1100i. Now I bought Magellan 2200vs to upgrade my 1100i. The problem is when I scan a product e.g. Malboro Lights with 1100i it encodes as FF87248661, when I scan with 2200vs it encodes as F0000087248661. As all my products are scanned using 1100i I would like change the settings in 2200vs. I got to the manual and got programming codes but dont know what to change or what should I look for? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try changing the new reader to use EAN-8 instead of EAN-13.

It does restrict what you can record, and you may run into future problems if you don't update your data now. But - I don't know that you absolutely have to.
