Hows this for a programming computer?
This computer is designed to run 2D electrical circuit CAD software, as well as program in multiple languages for application and micro controller development. It will not be used for gaming or media of any kind.

For the hard drive, I have a 20GB internal IDE (from a super old computer) and a 500GB external. Also have 100GB in my laptop and 80GB in an older Dell I could use if needed so Storage is of no concern. It doesn't need to be fast, or have amzing graphics, just need it to display on the screen, and run complex programs.
That sounds good enough for what you need it for, although the video card could be a little better if you are going to be using CAD software.
I recommend the NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS/GT for graphics work, pick one up from ebay for a relatively cheap price.
